How We Build and Operate
The difference between someone who writes code and someone who operates a system does not show on handover day — it shows six months later. This page explains how we actually work, so you know what you are buying.
Version control
Every project lives in Git. Nothing reaches production without a record of who changed what, when and why — and a way back out of it.
Automated deployment
Releases go out through Jenkins pipelines rather than hand-uploaded FTP, so the same steps run every time, with a build and test stage before anything reaches production.
Backups
Systems we host are backed up daily to storage separate from the server itself — encrypted, incremental, with a retention policy that allows recovery from more than one point in time.
Monitoring and alerting
We run Prometheus and Grafana for availability and performance, and Sentry to catch application errors as they happen rather than waiting for a user to report them.
Access control
Server access is by SSH key, not password, behind a firewall with automatic blocking of repeated login attempts, and each account is scoped to only what its job needs.
Hardening and scanning
Regular security scans on the servers we manage, a routine update cycle for systems and plugins, and managed TLS certificates that renew automatically.
Testing and QA
We write automated tests for the logic that matters and run them inside the deployment pipeline, alongside a manual pass before handover. We also offer penetration testing as a service in its own right.
Incident handling
When something breaks we stop the damage first, then find the root cause, then close it so it cannot recur — and we write down what happened instead of just restarting the service.
