Best Android and iOS Mobile App Design Company

The phone became a work tool before it became a communication tool. Booking, paying, tracking an order and reaching support all happen inside an app today, which is why an app is no longer a nice-to-have for a business, but a sales and service channel of its own.

We have been designing and building mobile apps since 2014 from our office in Cairo, for clients in Egypt, the Gulf and Iraq. Below we explain how we price an app, how long it takes, and what actually decides whether it performs after launch.

App Design Company

People look for an app development company to build an idea, either a brand new one or a better version of something that already exists. Google Play and the App Store both hold millions of apps, and competing for visibility inside them is no easier than competing in search results. So it is not enough for the app to work: it has to solve a clear problem for a specific user, and pass the review, privacy and permission rules of both stores, ideally on the first submission.

Due to this massive spread of smartphones and apps, many business owners and freelancers have invested in ideas that initially revolve around mobile app design and development. There are many mobile app design companies, but few execute perfectly without errors. The app design process isn't as complicated as some think, only if it's executed based on design and programming rules and fundamentals.

Why You Need Mobile App Design

Mobile apps are now widespread in all fields and in all government and service institutions such as:

Banking services icon

Banks (All banking transactions are done through simple operations via mobile apps)

Transportation services icon

Transportation ( Ride-hailing like Uber and Careem app design )

Health services icon

Health (To check health status, found in Apple and Galaxy smartwatches)

E-commerce icon

Commerce (Online buying and selling like Amazon, Souq, and others)

Government services icon

Government Services (To submit requests for all matters related to a particular service)

Social media icon

Social Media (Like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and others)

Internet of Things icon

Internet of Things (For example, controlling home appliances through the app)

Mobile apps end up making some part of your work faster and simpler. You can contact us to describe the app you want and get a quote covering the full scope. And even if you already own a website, most web traffic today arrives from a phone, and an app gives your returning customers a faster experience plus notifications that reach them directly.

App design pricing

Mobile App Design Pricing

You're certainly wondering about the cost of mobile app design, and also looking for the best service with the highest quality and lowest price in the market. This approach won't help much; it's better to search for the best Android and iOS mobile app design company, and then you can discuss pricing later. As for the price itself, no company can determine it before knowing all the details of your app and understanding your perspective on the app. You can't compare an app like Uber and Careem with a flight booking app - each app has its features and characteristics that make it unique. Therefore, we advise everyone not to search for the cheapest company but rather search for the company capable of meeting all your requirements and needs in the app better than any other app design company.

Also, mobile app design prices vary from country to country and from company to company within the same country. This price variation may lead to confusion for clients in choosing the company that will design and develop the app and how to choose an app design company. So when a client asks us about Android or iOS app design pricing, we ask them to answer several important questions:

1. What is the app idea or its purpose?

2. How do you expect to profit from the app? Through ads, app user subscriptions, or something else?

3. How many languages should be available in the app?

4. Do you want to provide electronic payment service within the app?

5. Do you have graphic designs for the app?

6. Do you have app content (Data)?

7. Will Web Pioneer add content within the app?

8. Do you want Android app design? Do you want iOS app design?

9. Do you want a website with the same app features?

10. Does the app include a GPS location system?

Based on these answers, we determine the mobile app design and development price.

Factors Affecting App Design Pricing

1. The biggest and most important factor is the app's features and purpose. For example, an app like Twitter differs from an app like Uber and Careem, from delivery app design, and also from a classified ads app like OLX. Therefore, the design and development details of the app are the most prominent factor in determining the price.

2. The level of professionalism in app design in terms of UI (User Interface) and UX (User Experience) design. There must be consistency between the app interface elements and also how they work together to create a smooth and easy-to-use app for app users and clients. This factor can be considered a competitive advantage among similar apps.

3. Target platforms (Android, iOS, or both). Building for a single platform looks cheaper up front, but building both from one codebase with Flutter or React Native is usually cheaper than shipping one native platform and redoing the work for the second one later. We show you the difference in numbers inside the quote.

Monetization Methods for Smartphone Apps (Android and iOS)

There are many methods, and the method used depends on the app owner's preference for how they want to profit from their mobile app. Some of the most popular methods are:

  • Profit from the app through advertising

This method depends on adding ads within the app that appear to the user based on their interests. The most important thing in this method is keeping the visitor or app user engaged for as long as possible to view the ad and maximize benefit from it. Here are some types of ads that appear on apps for profit: Interstitial ads (full-screen size), Banners, In-App Video ads

  • Paid version of the app

This method depends on adding ads within the app that appear to the user based on their interests. The most important thing in this method is keeping the visitor or app user engaged for as long as possible to view the ad and maximize benefit from it. Here are some types of ads that appear on apps for profit: Interstitial ads (full-screen size), Banners, In-App Video ads

  • Profit from the app through subscriptions

In this method, the visitor or app user subscribes to one of the packages that the app owner has previously integrated into the app, whether it's a monthly, annual, or other subscription.

Languages Used in App Design

Here we mention some languages or technologies used in mobile app design and programming for Android and iOS

  • JAVA: Java is one of the most prominent programming languages in mobile app design in general, but especially in Android app programming, as it's not used much in iOS app design.
  • SWIFT: A programming language developed by Apple with the main goal of developing and programming apps that work on iOS, iPadOS, macOS, watchOS, tvOS, Linux, and z/OS operating systems.
  • Kotlin: Considered one of the most popular languages currently after Google announced it as an official language for developing Android apps.
  • Javascript: Now considered one of the most used languages in app programming and development. Through Javascript, you can create Hybrid mobile apps to work on any device whether Android, iOS, Linux, Windows, and you can also create mobile apps through Cross-Platform technologies like Flutter and React Native which is a framework developed by Facebook for creating Android, iOS, and Web apps.

Frequently Asked Questions

Most of our projects today are built with Flutter or React Native, because one codebase serves both Android and iOS and cuts both time and cost. We move to Swift or Kotlin when an app needs deep integration with the operating system or heavy graphics performance. The backend is usually Laravel, with Firebase for notifications and quick authentication. That decision is made inside the requirements session once we can see the screens and the integrations, not before it.

Native means writing the app twice: Swift for iOS and Kotlin for Android. You get maximum performance and full access to every system feature, at the price of two development and maintenance tracks instead of one. Cross-platform means one codebase for both, which is the practical choice for most commercial apps: stores, bookings, delivery, services. The rule we work by is simple. Unless the app is a game or does heavy image and video processing on the device, cross-platform is enough.

Cost follows the number of screens and integrations, not the name of the app. In practice: an MVP built around a single core idea starts at about $3,000; a commercial app with accounts, payments, notifications and a dashboard runs between $4,500 and $8,000; platforms that involve more than one app (customer, driver, admin) or a link into existing systems start at $8,000. We publish the full breakdown and the method behind these numbers in our market pricing report, and the cost calculator gives you an instant estimate before any call.

A simple MVP: six to ten weeks. A mid-size commercial app: twelve to sixteen weeks. A platform with more than one app: four months and up. We deliver in two-week increments so you can watch progress instead of waiting for a final handover. And honestly, what delays projects in our experience is rarely the development work, it is waiting on content, payment credentials and store accounts from the client side.

Yes. We prepare both the Google Play Console and App Store Connect entries, design the icon and screenshots at the required sizes, write the description and search keywords, then upload the build and follow the review to approval. We always recommend the account be in your name rather than ours, because store ownership follows the account. A first-submission rejection does happen, usually over the privacy policy or an unjustified permission, and we handle the fix and resubmission at no extra charge.

Yes, and right-to-left is more than mirroring a layout. Arrows, icons and screen transitions get reviewed one by one, and the typeface is chosen to be readable on a small screen rather than to look good in a design file. We support both Hijri and Gregorian dates where needed, and Arabic push notifications. Testing happens on real devices before delivery, because the simulator does not surface every Arabic font issue.

Launch starts an initial six-month maintenance agreement covering bug fixes, keeping the app compatible with new iOS and Android releases, and security updates. We watch crashes through Crashlytics or Sentry so we usually know about a problem before a user reports it. New feature work is quoted separately, and the agreement can be renewed annually.

Yes. The most requested ones here are Paymob and Fawry in Egypt, MyFatoorah, Tap and HyperPay across the Gulf, plus Stripe and PayPal for international markets. Also Google Maps, shipping carriers, and whatever ERP or CRM the client already runs. The one condition is that the other side provides a documented API and a test account; if that is missing, we tell you before the work starts rather than after.

Start from the app, not from the technology. Flutter gives a completely consistent interface across both platforms and is our default for most projects. React Native makes sense when your own technical team already works in JavaScript and will take over maintenance. Swift and Kotlin are the right call when the app leans on advanced system features such as ARKit or on-device processing, with the understanding that it means two teams, two codebases and a higher ongoing maintenance bill.

ASO is ranking inside the Apple and Google stores, and it behaves more like optimising a product page than optimising a website. In practice we start with the title and the keyword field (100 characters on Apple), then the icon and the first two screenshots, because those are what a user actually sees before deciding to install. We review the outcome in Google Play Console reports about six weeks after launch, and if downloads have not moved we change the screenshots before we change the keywords. We do not promise a specific percentage before seeing the app's own market and competitors.

Yes. We build a colour system that follows the device setting, with a manual switch inside the app. Language changes apply immediately without a restart, and the layout direction flips with it. The detail people usually forget is artwork and icons with a light background, so we prepare those in two versions to stop them appearing as white boxes in dark mode.

The baseline in every app we deliver: Firebase Analytics for event tracking, and Crashlytics or Sentry for crash reports with the full error detail. When the user journey needs deeper analysis we add Mixpanel or Amplitude, and for advertising campaign attribution we add AppsFlyer. We agree the list of events that actually matter to your business up front, because tracking everything without a question in mind produces reports nobody reads.
