A Point of Sale System You Own, Built Around How Your Branches Actually Run
Fast checkout, live inventory across branches, shift reports your accountant trusts, and no monthly fee per terminal. Ever.
Count your terminals, multiply by the monthly fee, multiply by five years. For a chain with 4 branches and 10 tills, that number is usually many times the cost of building your own POS. And you still don't own it: the vendor decides what a discount rule looks like, how a shift closes, and whether your combo offers are even possible. We build POS systems for retail chains, cafes and restaurants that outgrew the off-the-shelf products. You get the checkout flow your cashiers already know, inventory that syncs across branches in real time, and software that is yours on final payment, with the source code to prove it.
One Cost, Not a Meter
You pay for the build, not per terminal per month forever. Add a till or open a branch and your software bill stays exactly the same.
Multi-Branch by Design
Central catalog, per-branch pricing and stock, consolidated end-of-day reports. Head office sees everything; each branch sees only its own numbers.
Checkout Speed First
Barcode scan to printed receipt in seconds, with an offline mode that queues sales locally when the internet drops and syncs when it returns.
Yours Outright
The contract states that source code, database and designs transfer to you on full payment. No license renewals, no vendor holding your sales data hostage.
What Goes Into a POS Build
Cashier Screen That Fits Your Menu
Grid layout for cafes, barcode-first for retail, table and order management for restaurants. We design it around your top 50 products, not a generic template, and you approve it on a staging link before a single till runs it.
Inventory and Purchasing
Stock deducts on sale, transfers move goods between branches with approval, and low-stock alerts fire per branch. Recipe-based deduction for kitchens (selling a burger deducts the bun, patty and cheese).
Shifts, Cash Drawer and Z Reports
Cashiers open and close shifts with counted cash; the system flags variances immediately. End-of-day reports export to Excel or feed your accounting system directly.
Discounts, Combos and Loyalty
Your promotion logic coded exactly as you run it: happy hour by branch, buy-2-get-1, points per receipt. This is where subscription POS products usually say no; a custom build says yes because we write the rule.
Hardware and Payments
Works with standard receipt printers, barcode scanners and cash drawers you already own. Card payment integration through regional gateways such as Tap, PayTabs or HyperPay where the acquirer supports it.
Owner Dashboard and Permissions
Live sales across all branches from your phone, with role-based access so a branch supervisor cannot void yesterday's invoices. Every void and discount is logged with the user who did it.
POS Project Pricing (USD)
| Scope | Price range | Typical timeline |
|---|---|---|
| Core POS (checkout + inventory + reports, 2-3 modules) | from $3,000 | typically 8-12 weeks |
| Full multi-branch POS (transfers, shifts, purchasing, loyalty) | $4,500 - 8,000 | typically 12-20 weeks |
| Large integrated platform (POS + accounting/ERP + customer app) | from $8,000 | 20+ weeks |
Compare any row against five years of subscription fees across your terminals before deciding; for most multi-branch operations the build wins by a wide margin. Payments are split across the project, and each installment is due only when you have approved the agreed deliverable for that stage.
How We Deliver a POS Project
- Workflow session: We sit with your head cashier and store manager (remotely, on your timezone) and document how a sale, a return, a transfer and a shift close actually happen today, including the exceptions the current system fights you on.
- Written scope: You receive a scope document with acceptance criteria for every module, so 'inventory works' becomes testable statements like 'a transfer cannot be received twice'. An NDA is signed first if you need to share sales data.
- Build with a live staging link: From the first weeks you get a staging URL where your team rings up test sales on real product data. Cashier feedback lands while changes are still cheap.
- Pilot branch: One branch runs the new system in parallel with the old one for an agreed period. We reconcile the Z reports daily until the numbers match and the cashiers stop asking questions.
- Rollout and handover: Remaining branches go live on a schedule you set. At the final payment the code, the data and deployment credentials become yours, contractually, along with training material for new hires.
Frequently asked questions
We are a single shop. Should we build a custom POS?
Probably not, and we will tell you that on the first call. A subscription POS is genuinely the right answer for one till and standard workflows. Custom pays off when you have multiple branches, per-terminal fees that compound, or promotion and inventory logic the packaged products refuse to do.
What happens when the internet goes down at a branch?
The till keeps selling. Sales queue on the local device and sync to the central server when the connection returns, so a router failure never means a closed shop. We test this scenario explicitly during the pilot phase.
Can it connect to our accounting software?
Yes, that is one of the most common requests. Daily sales, taxes and payment-method totals can post automatically to your accounting or ERP system, and where a direct integration is not practical we deliver a clean scheduled export your accountant imports in one step.
Who maintains the system after launch?
The build includes a warranty period for defects at no charge. After that you choose: a monthly support agreement with us, your own IT team (you own the code, so nothing blocks them), or any third party you prefer. That choice existing at all is a large part of why owners build custom.
You are in Cairo and our branches are in the Gulf. How does that work?
Everything runs remotely and we schedule meetings on your working hours; the time difference with Saudi and the UAE is a single hour. Since 2014 most of our clients have been in the region, and Cairo engineering rates are why the same scope typically costs 30-50% less through us than through a local agency.
Put Your Terminal Count Into a Real Quote
Send us your branch count, terminal count and current monthly POS bill. Within a few days you get a fixed scope and price to compare against what the subscription costs you over the next five years.
