Coupons and Deals App Development for the Gulf

Consumer app, merchant dashboards and redemption tracking your merchants will actually trust.

A coupons app is really two products wearing one brand. The consumer side is the easy half: browse offers, save a deal, show a code at the counter. The merchant side is where these platforms live or die, because a merchant who doubts your redemption numbers stops answering your calls, and every deal on your app exists because a salesperson signed that merchant up. So we build coupons platforms merchant-first: an auditable redemption trail (who redeemed, when, at which branch), a dashboard merchants actually open, and a commission engine that produces settlements without spreadsheet arguments. We have shipped two-sided Arabic and English products from Cairo since 2014, with published pricing and a scope document agreed before any money moves.

Built merchant-first

Merchants keep a coupons platform alive, so their side gets real design attention: an offer manager, a redemption log and reports written for a shop owner, not for a developer.

Redemption merchants can audit

Every redemption is stored with time, branch, offer and code. A merchant can export the list and check it against the till, which is how the doubt conversation ends.

Published, fixed pricing

Coupon MVPs run $3,000 – 4,500 and the ranges below match our public pricing page. You pay in stages, each stage due only after the agreed piece is delivered and tested.

Yours on final payment

Code, designs, store listings and the app signing keys all move into your accounts once the last invoice is paid, and the contract states this in plain language.

What a coupons platform actually needs

Offer and campaign management

Merchants or your ops team create offers with quotas, expiry dates and branch restrictions. Bulk upload matters here; your sales team will be adding fifty offers a week, not one.

Redemption at the counter

Cashier QR scanning, one-time codes or a merchant PIN, chosen per merchant category. The counter is the moment of truth, so this flow gets tested with real staff before launch.

Commission and settlement engine

Per-redemption commission, flat listing fees or hybrid deals per merchant. Monthly statements are generated automatically and export cleanly for your accountant.

Merchant dashboard

Live redemption counts, per-branch breakdowns and offer performance, visible to the merchant the moment a code is used. Transparency is a retention feature, not a nice-to-have.

Consumer app, iOS and Android

Categories, search, nearby deals, saved offers and push notifications for new campaigns, built from one Flutter codebase so both stores ship on the same schedule.

Sales-team tooling

Draft merchant listings, onboarding status and one-tap activation. Your sales reps are the growth engine of a deals platform, so the admin panel is built to make them fast.

What a coupons app costs

ScopePrice rangeTypical timeline
Coupons MVP: consumer app, basic merchant panel, admin$3,000 – 4,500typically 8-12 weeks
Mid-scope platform: commission engine, per-branch redemption, settlement reports$4,500 – 8,000typically 12-16 weeks
Full network platform: geo-targeted offers, POS-level validation, automated settlementsfrom $8,00016+ weeks

These are the same ranges we publish openly, not a teaser to get you on a call. The payment schedule is split into stages, and an installment falls due only after you have tested the work it covers on a live build.

How the build runs

  1. Kickoff call: we walk through your commission model, target merchant categories and launch city; if your merchant pipeline or pricing is sensitive, an NDA gets signed before you send anything.
  2. Scope on paper: a fixed document lists every screen, the redemption flow and the acceptance criteria, so 'done' is defined in writing before development starts.
  3. Weekly builds: a fresh build reaches your handset every week, and the merchant dashboard runs on a test server you log into yourself, loaded with realistic sample offers.
  4. Merchant pilot: before public release we help you run live redemptions with a few friendly merchants, because redemption flows break at the counter, not in the office.
  5. Release and transfer: we publish under your own store accounts, and code, keys and dashboards sit fully in your name once the final payment clears.

Frequently asked questions

Which redemption method should we use: QR scanning, one-time codes or a cashier PIN?

Cashier QR scanning gives the cleanest audit trail but asks the merchant's staff to use a scanner screen. One-time codes work on any phone but are easier to mishandle. Most platforms we scope start with cashier-entered codes backed by a merchant PIN, then add QR scanning for chains, and the choice is fixed per merchant category in the scope document.

How do we stop merchants disputing the redemption numbers?

By making the numbers checkable instead of asking for trust. Each redemption is stored with timestamp, branch, offer and the exact code used, and merchants can export that log and reconcile it against till receipts. A merchant who can audit you rarely argues with you.

Can the platform charge commission per redemption instead of merchant subscriptions?

It can run either, or both at once. The billing engine handles per-redemption commission, flat monthly listing fees and hybrid deals negotiated merchant by merchant, and the admin panel shows exactly what each merchant owes at settlement time.

Do you help us sign up merchants?

No, and be wary of any developer who says they will. Merchant acquisition is a local sales job that needs people on the ground in your city. What we build is the tooling that makes your sales team faster: draft listings prepared before the meeting, onboarding status at a glance, and merchant activation in minutes rather than days.

Will the app work in Arabic and English?

Yes, both, with proper right-to-left layout rather than a mirrored afterthought. We have shipped bilingual Arabic and English products from Cairo since 2014, and RTL gets checked screen by screen in the weekly builds, not once at the end.

Ready to scope your coupons platform?

Send a short note on your market, launch city and commission model. We come back with questions first, then a written scope and a fixed quote, normally inside two working days.
