Home Services App Development for On-Demand Cleaning, Maintenance and Repairs

Customer app, provider app and dispatch panel, built around real availability instead of pretend instant matching.

Nobody deletes a home services app because a button was the wrong shade of blue. They delete it because a cleaner was confirmed for 10am and nobody showed. Your real business is supply: vetted cleaners, AC technicians, plumbers who turn up. What the software must do is tell the truth about scheduling. That means time slots backed by actual provider calendars, assignment rules you control, and payment flows the customer understands before booking (pay upfront, or on completion, or a deposit). We have built booking and dispatch systems since 2014 from Cairo, delivering remotely to Saudi and UAE founders, with published pricing and a contract that puts the code in your name.

Honest time slots

Slots come from provider working hours, travel buffers and existing jobs, not from a hardcoded grid. If nobody is free at 4pm, the app says so instead of accepting the booking and apologising later.

Assignment you control

Auto-assign by zone, rating and workload, or route jobs through a dispatcher for manual approval. We build the rule set with you and log every assignment decision so disputes have evidence.

Payment clarity

Upfront card payment, cash on completion, or partial deposit per service category. Gateways like PayTabs, HyperPay or HyperPay for the Gulf, with itemised receipts and a refund path defined in writing before we build it.

Real RTL, both languages

Both languages from the first build, with RTL layouts tested screen by screen rather than mirrored automatically and hoped for. Service names, notifications and receipts localised in both directions.

What a serious home services platform actually needs

Customer booking app

Browse services, pick an address on the map, choose a real slot, track the provider on job day. Recurring bookings (weekly cleaning, quarterly AC service) with skip and reschedule controls.

Provider app

Job offers with accept and decline, a day schedule, navigation to the address, job start and completion with photo proof. Providers set their own working hours and days off, which feed the customer-facing slots.

Dispatch and admin panel

Live board of today's jobs, reassignment when a provider cancels, service and zone pricing, provider onboarding with document checks. Built for the operations person who runs your day, not for a demo video.

Ratings and quality loop

Post-job ratings tied to the specific provider and job, with low scores flagged for follow-up. Ratings feed assignment priority, so your best people get more work. That loop is where marketplaces live or die.

Pricing and quotes

Fixed prices per service where possible, and an inspection-then-quote flow for jobs like plumbing where nobody honest can price sight unseen. The customer approves the quote in the app before work starts.

Notifications that reduce no-shows

Booking confirmation, reminder before the slot, provider en route, job complete with receipt. Push plus WhatsApp or SMS fallback, because a missed notification here costs you a real visit.

These brackets are the same ones on our published price list, not a teaser that doubles after the first call. Where your number lands inside a bracket depends on service categories, payment methods and how much dispatch logic you want automated versus manual.

How the build runs

  1. Working session first: a call where we walk through your service list, coverage zones and how you plan to recruit providers, because that shapes the scheduling model more than any feature list.
  2. Fixed scope on paper: you get a written scope naming every screen, the assignment rules, the payment flows and acceptance criteria, priced against the brackets above before anything is built.
  3. Weekly test builds: from the first sprint you run the actual app on your own devices, booking fake jobs and breaking things while changes are still cheap.
  4. Pilot with real providers: before public launch we run a limited pilot in one zone with a handful of your providers, because scheduling logic only proves itself against real calendars.
  5. Store release and transfer: we publish to the App Store and Google Play under accounts registered to you, and on final payment the code, designs and credentials are handed over per the contract.

Frequently asked questions

Can you build instant on-demand matching like the big platforms?

We can, but we will push back first. Instant matching only works with deep provider supply per zone, and most launches do not have it. Scheduled slots with a tight confirmation window keep your promise rate high while supply grows, and we can add instant dispatch later for zones that earn it.

How do you handle cash on completion, which is still common in the Gulf?

The app tracks the job total, the provider marks cash collected, and the admin panel reconciles provider balances so commission gets settled. Card, mada and wallet payments run through a Gulf gateway alongside cash. Mixing both from day one is normal in this market and we design for it.

What happens when a provider cancels an accepted job?

The system offers the job to the next eligible provider by zone and rating, and alerts your dispatcher if nobody accepts within a window you define. The customer sees an honest status update, not a spinner. Cancellation counts also feed each provider's assignment priority.

Do you sell a ready-made script rebranded for us?

No. Off-the-shelf clones look cheap until you need your own assignment rules, your own quote flow or a payment method the script never planned for. We write the platform for your operation, which is exactly why the scope document exists before pricing is final.

We already run bookings over WhatsApp and a spreadsheet. When is an app worth it?

Honestly, once volume or a second zone breaks the spreadsheet. If you are doing a few jobs a day in one district, keep the spreadsheet and spend on provider recruitment. The app pays off when double-bookings, cash reconciliation and dispatcher hours start costing more than the build.
