Websites, apps and POS systems for restaurants: stop paying delivery commissions and own your customer data

A direct ordering channel under your own name on the web, in an app and on WhatsApp, and a till that talks to the kitchen and the stock room, for one branch or a chain.

Every order that arrives through a delivery aggregator leaves a share of its value there, and leaves the customer's name, number and address with the aggregator rather than with you. A restaurant that owns a direct ordering channel gets the margin back and gets the customer back. We build ordering websites and apps under the restaurant's own brand, and POS systems that connect the till to the kitchen display and inventory. The big apps stay an acquisition channel; the second order comes to you.

Commission stops at the second order

A website and app under your name with a menu, basket and payment, plus a direct ordering link on WhatsApp and Instagram. The customer who found you on an aggregator orders from you next time.

Your customer data, in your database

Name, number, address and order history belong to you, so you can send an offer to anyone who has not ordered in a month and see which dishes bring people back.

Till and kitchen on one screen

The order reaches the kitchen display the moment it is confirmed, with prep times and priority. Paper tickets and shouting during the rush disappear.

Inventory that understands recipes

Every dish sold deducts its ingredients from stock, so you see real waste and reorder from the supplier before an item runs out on a Friday night.

What we build for restaurants, cafes and delivery services

Each item below is a standing service with a published range. A single restaurant usually starts with an ordering site and a POS; a chain with an app, delivery and central branch management.

  • Restaurant website with direct ordering: a menu with photos, basket, online or cash-on-delivery payment and order tracking, with no commission per order.
  • Restaurant POS: a till for dine-in, takeaway and delivery, kitchen display, bill splitting, shifts and per-branch reports.
  • Food delivery app: customer app, rider app and restaurant panel, for one restaurant or a multi-restaurant platform.
  • General delivery app: parcel and purchase delivery with live tracking and distance or zone pricing.
  • Grocery and supermarket app: thousands of items, substitutes when out of stock, and delivery in time slots.
  • General POS system: for cafes, bakeries and sweet shops selling by weight or by piece.
  • Inventory and purchasing system: recipes, ingredients, suppliers, stock counts and waste, for one branch or a central store feeding several.
  • AI chat assistant: takes the order on WhatsApp, answers questions about the menu and delivery, and pushes the order into the POS.

What is different in restaurants and delivery

A restaurant works in a short peak window where everything is measured in minutes. That imposes requirements an ordinary online store never faces:

  • The rush does not wait: the till and kitchen display must keep working if the internet drops, and synchronise when it returns. We test that before go-live, not after.
  • Orders change after they are placed: an added item, a removed ingredient, a new address. Every change reaches the kitchen and the rider and adjusts the bill without cancelling the order.
  • Zones and riders: delivery fees by zone, nearest-rider assignment, live tracking for the customer, and rider settlements at the end of the day.
  • Branches and the menu: one menu with prices that may differ by branch, an item paused in one branch but not the others, and consolidated reports for management.
  • E-receipts in Egypt: the Egyptian Tax Authority is bringing point-of-sale devices into its e-receipt system in phases, so we build the POS so that the connection can be added when your activity's turn comes, with your accountant confirming your obligation and date.
  • Payment: cash on delivery remains the most used method in Egypt, and we add Paymob, Fawry, cards and wallets, with a daily settlement per branch.

How the project runs

  1. Free video call: we learn the branch count, the share of orders coming from aggregators, and how an order reaches the kitchen today.
  2. Written requirements and a fixed price: a scope of work naming the screens, the hardware (printers, kitchen display) and the integrations (payment, WhatsApp), with a price and timeline before any payment.
  3. Payments tied to deliverables: an approved design, a trial POS in one branch, then the app on your phone before store release.
  4. One branch before the rest: we run the system in a single branch on peak days alongside your current method, and fix what surfaces before rolling out to the others.
  5. Launch, training and support: store release, training for cashiers, kitchen staff and riders, and a support period included after go-live.

Frequently asked questions

How much does a restaurant delivery app cost?

An ordering app for one restaurant with an admin panel falls between 165,000 and 250,000 EGP over 8 to 12 weeks. Adding a rider app and live tracking takes it to 440,000 EGP, and a multi-restaurant platform starts at 440,000 EGP. The exact figure comes in writing within one business day.

Should we leave the big delivery apps once our own channel is live?

Not necessarily. Most of our clients keep them as a channel for acquiring new customers and steer repeat orders to their own site and app with a small discount or loyalty points. The aim is for the second and third order to come to you directly, not to disappear from the aggregators.

What happens to the POS if the internet drops during the rush?

The till and the kitchen display keep working locally, and orders and bills synchronise with the server when the connection returns. We test this scenario specifically before go-live, because a network outage on a peak night is the worst time to discover it.

Does the system connect to the Egyptian Tax Authority e-receipt system?

We build the POS so that the e-receipt connection can be added when your activity's turn comes in the Authority's rollout schedule; your accountant confirms your obligation and date. The connection has no published price because it depends on your accounting setup, so we quote it in writing within one business day.

We have several branches with different prices. Is that supported?

Prices can be overridden per branch on one central menu, and an item can be paused in one branch without affecting the others. Management sees consolidated and comparative reports from one screen, while each branch sees only its own data.

Who owns the app and the customer data?

Once the final invoice is settled, the code, the database, the store accounts and your customer data are all in the restaurant's name, and the agreement says so. There is no commission on orders and no per-branch fee; maintenance after launch is optional at 5,000 to 10,000 EGP per month.
